Pre-Registration

Pre-Registration for the Lupus Loop is available by clicking the Register button above. Each participant has the option of registering as an individual, or as a team member. The team captain must create the team for the 20th Annual Lupus Loop before any team member may register for the team. 

Each participant has the option of paying the registration fee ($20 adult Early bird, $25 Adult regular registration after October 19th, $10 for child 12 or under at any time) at the time or registration, or he/ she may chose to waive their registration fee and pledge to fundraise $100 or more. Participants must either pay the registration fee, or fundraise at least $100 by Loop Day in order to earn their 20th Annual Lupus Loop event t-shirt.

Team and Individual Participant Check-In and On-Site Registration begins at  7:30 am on October 30, 2011
 
Run/Walk will start at 9:00 am
 
Start/Finish: In front of the Please Touch Museum
 
Runners will leave first and the walkers will follow immediately behind runners.
 
Directions
Take Route 76 to City Line Avenue (Route 1 South) Turn left on Belmont Avenue and proceed to the Avenue of the Republic. Look for event staff and signage to direct you to Lupus Loop parking.

About the 5K Run & 2.5 Mile Walk
The 5K distance run starts and finishes in front of Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park. This is a fast, flat USATANDF-certified course on paved roads. Participants will loop around Memorial Hall, the Horticultural Center and the Japanese Tea Garden in beautiful Fairmount Park.
 
Race timing by Run the Day featuring the B-Tag from ChronoTrack Systems.
 
Race Awards
5K Race Awards will be presented in the following categories:
  • First, Second and Third Place Male AND Female Overall Winners
  • First three male & female finishers in each age group:
  • - 14 and under - 40-49
    - 15-19   - 50-59
    - 20-29  - 60-69
    - 30-39 - 70+

    1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finishing Teams (Any number can run, first three finishers count).

Team Awards  (No team registration allowed on race day)
Win by being the fastest, biggest or by raising the most money!
  • Team Participation Award Given to the team with the most members.
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish awards for team competing in the 5K run. (Any number can run, first three finishers count.) Teams may have both walkers and runners. – but for fastest team awards, at least three team members must complete the 5K run portion for scoring.
  • Team Challenge Award Is awarded to the team that raises the most money in support of lupus. Employee Matching Gift Programs from your employer or those of your sponsors are considered part of the total raised provided forms are supplied.
  • Circle of Friends We will recognize any team, team member or individual reaching a level of:

    Bronze $1,000

    Silver $2,500

    Gold $5,000

    Platinum $10,000+.

Circle of Friends certificates will be mailed after the event is closed out (usually 30 days post event).

There is no limit to the number of participants that can receive certificates. Teams, team members, and individuals will receive certificates of achievement for the highest Circle of Friends level achieved only. Circle of Friends Awards will also be posted on www.lupusloop.org.

  • Course Marker Signs Raise $300 and receive an acknowledgment sign to personalize in honor or in memory of a loved one on our course! Teams or individual participants raising $300 or more earn Course Marker Signs. Individuals or teams will receive one sign for every $300 raised by Monday October 17, 2011.
  • Highest Individual Fundraiser (raising over $5,000) Will receive a three-day-two-night stay at a location to be announced! Team members as well as individuals may qualify for this prize.
  • For the family Moon bounce AND other fun activities for the kids, refreshments AND music, sponsorship information tables.
  • Team Photographs Team Captains - Pick up your team sign at the team registration table when you check in and gather your team for a team photograph outside in the Team Photograph area. Look for signage to direct you. Smile!
